Heather Nagami is the author of Hostile (Chax). Her poems have recently appeared in Poetry Magazine, jubilat, Sporklet, Dream Pop, and Lantern Review.
A Kundiman fellow, Heather was born and raised in Southern California. She received her M.F.A. in Creative Writing from University of Arizona and her B.A. in Literature with a Creative Writing pathway at University of California, Santa Cruz. She also recently earned her Master of Education in Inspired Teaching and Learning with an emphasis in English Learner Equity and Academic Achievement. Heather has taught as UCLA, Northeastern University, and University of Arizona, as well as public, charter, and private schools. She is currently searching for a home for a chapbook while completing her second manuscript.
